The Four Playgrounds of Modern Finance!

March 2, 2010

Always be vigilant when it comes to relationships involving money, power, food or sex! These are the four playgrounds of modern life where fallacies of thinking thrive. Here is a quote from my up coming book on Bush, Obama, Hoover and others:

Check out the similarities:

1929. Andrew William Mellon, Republican, Wall Street banker, President Hoover’s secretary of the Treasury when the stock market crashed in 1929, cut taxes drastically to the top wealthy Americans (from 75% to 25%), deregulated the economy, bankrolled the wild expansion of cheap credit after the turn of the century, and presided over the “stock market bubble” that financed the Roaring Twenties before the “big market burst.”

2008. Henry “Hank” Paulson, Republican, Wall Street banker, President Bush Secretary of the Treasury when the stock market crashed in 2008,  cut taxes drastically to the top wealthy Americans, deregulated the economy, bankrolled the wild expansion of cheap credit after the turn of the century, and presided over the “housing bubble” that financed the booming Eighties expansion before the “big burst” in home prices!

The fact that both Andrew Mellon and Paul Paulson were born in March is just the metaphysical icing on the Wall Street cake!
